Linea uses zk proofs for instant finality while Arbitrum is based on a 7 day challenge period. Linea also has a unique dual burn and native yield, however Linea currently has a much smaller tvl and market share than Arbitrum. Arbitrum also has a greater amount of adoption and liquidity.

For DeFi applications that prioritize security Linea is a better option than Arbitrum which has higher levels of liquidity and maturity in terms of its overall ecosystem.
